Apr 15, 2013 6:00 PMMaha, I don't like fill in the blank questions...
Apr 15, 2013 2:53 PMI would like to see LSUA offer more classes online, especially senior-level classes. I am pursuing my Bachelor's degree in business, and it would be more convenient for me if I were able to take more of my classes online.
Apr 15, 2013 2:37 PMI would love to see LSUA grow into the power house of education that it has the potential of being. I would love to see the psychology sector of LSUA education to expand. I think Dr. Elder is capable of much more than is available to him. Dr. Thomas is exceptional in her teaching method and in her time availability. I would love to be able to achieve a masters degree in psychology from LSUA and I would do pretty much whatever needed to see that happen.
Apr 15, 2013 1:09 PMBring back theatre!
Apr 15, 2013 11:48 AMI think that students should be more well informed about all of the oppertunities available to aid in their success. (SI, tutoring, writing center)
Apr 14, 2013 8:46 AMSome classes such as BIOL labs are offered in the evenings only and is not convenient for parents with children. Everyone that goes to LSUA does not live in Alexandria so it's not easy to be there until late in the evening. Is there anyway that these labs can be offered at a more convenient time so that the people who need to take them don't have to be at school until 6:00 or later?
Mar 27, 2013 4:35 PMThere needs to be more lighting near the buildings and parking lots.
Mar 27, 2013 1:30 PMI believe that students should be heard to make a few changes on campus so that there is more to the college experience then class, research, homework, and affairs pertaining to student service offices. I believe that students would be able to handle college a lot better if they have a good introduction to the college and its campus which also includes all of its benefits. I also believe that increasing student activities widespread throughout each semester is a concept to consider. It is good to have special weeks that are absolutely filled with events for fun but between those periods are dry spells of nothing that encourages students to readily get active and to keep motivation. When I speak of having events quite frequently on the quad would be a good idea, I mean that it could be even as simple as playing music through the campus sound system on the quad or cooking food for sale on the quad without any special occasions. I have also heard how when LSUA was a two year University that there were more events then when it became a four year University. Asking the students in open forums or through surveys about how this school could improve (while they are educated on LSUA's standing in all regards that a student is entitled to know) would be a very helpful plan. In this way, I believe that LSUA, after undergoing a few changes may greatly benefit and prosper for what it truly is for many people who have attended LSUA in the past absolutely loved the experience (well, majority of the individuals). Getting the name of LSUA out into the public even more and forming partnerships with other businesses and colleges is a great way for recognition of LSUA to grow and become more stable is, well, necessary, the way I view this issue. More students also need to be aware that they have a say so in this school and they need to know that it is okay to speak up and be heard (within the realm of logic and reason). With more students being heard and being educated (as far as students are permitted to know about campus affairs) the better off the voice of LSUA will be and the more capable we are of truly working together for the future of both you (the staff) and me (the student(s)). Thank you.
Mar 26, 2013 3:06 PMThe process should only be continued if there is a good review system in place.

Mar 26, 2013 6:09 AMI know that one response from a student will not matter much, but this is what I feel should at the very least be attempted to help the students at the University: As a student at LSUA, I feel that, we, as students should get a higher quality of teaching out of the Professors and better service from office people. It costs all of us students a lot of money to attend the University, and the least that Professors can do, is to make the time and effort to either tutor the students, keep appointments when made, and for everyone have an overall concern for the students success rather than basically turning their backs us. I do understand that this message will never make it to someone at the University that could make a change, but this is truly how I feel...
Mar 25, 2013 10:13 PMthere should be an app for the school where students can access information and moodle
Mar 25, 2013 6:25 PMSurveys such as this and those given before the semester finals should be given after the class or semester ends. Most people probably mark what you want to see. If the instructors do not have access to the surveys, what difference does it make. I think people are afraid to give their true opinion.
Mar 25, 2013 9:16 AMNclex questions are suppose to help nursing students be better at answering nursing test questions but the questions on test are much harder than nclex and don't give enough information for student to answer. Teachers should pull questions from an nclex test bank. Not make up their own questions which are mostly subjective.
Mar 25, 2013 8:54 AMI really really hope that LSUA will take the suggestions of their students seriously through these surveys! Please do not ignore us; we are your customer and we are the future of the U.S.
Mar 25, 2013 7:47 AMI think it would be very helpful in improvement of student learning.
Mar 25, 2013 7:24 AMExcellent programs
Mar 22, 2013 8:37 AMMake the parking lot at the MPAC bigger so that students can find parking easier and be able to get to class on time without having to race to campus early and hunt for parking or park in the nose-bleeds and hurry to class because they have to walk so far and they are running late. I thought the school was finally making the parking lot bigger to accommodate for the increased amount of people using the MPAC but instead sidewalks were relaid ( <-- unnecessary) and new grass and trees were put down.
Mar 22, 2013 7:14 AMI think that this really could make a difference for our campus. Keep up the good work! :)
Mar 22, 2013 4:23 AMI don't know much about it...
Mar 21, 2013 7:44 PMI feel that this school can grow, and contribute so much more to the community and students. Central Louisiana needs this school to succeed, we need this school to succeed, so please help us, help this school grow. I'm proud to be a General, and many more will as well.
Mar 21, 2013 7:19 PMI think this university needs a few extras such as a coffee station in MPAC (most students are here for all of their classes) . If you're going to have afternoon and night classes on campus, students need to have meals avaialble (other than Subway). Students need healthier meal options ( smoothies, fruit bar, etc.) If you are going to give exit exams, they should be department driven. The way they are run now cannot possibly give an accurate reading to this university's success.
Mar 21, 2013 4:17 PMStudents need to be able to supply more input about changes that can make LSUA a more quality university.
Mar 21, 2013 11:41 AMn/a
Mar 21, 2013 11:26 AMUrge students to use the walking path more by funrnishing information on where we can change into our athlectic apparel and provide a locker or basket to store our personal items.
Mar 21, 2013 9:34 AMThe cost of living is high, making it harder for those wanting to finish school. College is expensive. I understand that LSUA is wanting to have more events for the students and some of those I love such as the annual crawfish boil, the information booths that are set up, and so on and so forth. These things are affordable by the students (10$ at the time of the event and only if they CHOOSE to participate.) But, this sport change that the votes have approved I do not agree with. (Obviously, I voted against it.) Mostly because this makes a financial change to ALL students. I am not here at LSUA for the sports. I know there are others who like it, I am not one. I don't find it fair to charge me MORE money per semester to support the sport change for others when I have trouble paying what I have to already. In short, I don't support it because it affects EVERY student including those that are NOT athletes.
Mar 21, 2013 8:23 AMThere are some of the same people teaching that have taught for years and few people pass their classes. Time to look at what and how they teach is the students are not successful. LSUA needs to be a College that is geared toward Student Success and wanting the Students to Be Successful.
Mar 21, 2013 7:23 AMI hope to see this succeed. . .
Mar 19, 2013 5:44 PMI think that we have a beautiful campus
Mar 18, 2013 1:20 PMI think this survey was a great idea!
Mar 18, 2013 12:28 PMWe need it.
Mar 18, 2013 9:16 AMI think there should be one sorority and fraternity on campus.
Mar 12, 2013 2:23 PMI also think small desks and crowded classrooms reduce learning.
